Kolkata: GATE 2025, conducted by IIT Roorkee, will take place on February 1st, 2nd, 15th, and 16th, 2025. The exam will be held in two sessions: the first from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and the second from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. According to the official instructions found at gate2025.iitr.ac.in, examinees must bring a printed copy of their admit card to the exam location along with a legitimate picture ID, such as a driver's license, passport, PAN card, voter ID, or Aadhaar card.

What Happened to the GATE 2025 Exam Centres of Prayagraj?

GATE 2025 (Feb 1-2) and originally planned for Prayagraj, have been moved to Lucknow due to the Mahakumbh. This change is confirmed on the official GATE website: gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Examinees faced difficulties reaching Prayagraj exam centers due to the Mahakumbh on February 1st and 2nd, 2025. As a result, the Prayagraj exams have been moved to Lucknow on the same dates.

What is the Exam Day Dress Code of GATE 2025?

The specific dress code of the GATE 2025 are listed below:

  • Clothing: Wear lightweight, comfortable clothing.
  • Metal Items: Avoid all metallic items, clothing with metal components, and any items containing metal.
  • Male Students:
  • No mufflers, caps, or head coverings of any kind.

  • No shrugs, stoles, dupattas, or scarves in the exam hall.
